Description:
Olidia Injectable PLLA Powder, 365mg
Filler Olidia based on poly-L-lactic acid is designed to correct medium and deep wrinkles, to fill the volume in the area of temples, chin, and cheekbones. The natural contours of the face are created through the formation of our own collagen. The result of contour plastics lasts up to 2 years.
The active component of the biodegradable filler is poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic polymer consisting of microparticles with diameters ranging from 40 to 63 microns. Such particles are large enough to be absorbed by dermal macrophages, but their size is small enough for intradermal injection with needles and cannulas.
PLLA is chemically and physically identical to polylactic acid (PLA) produced by the human body. The polymer stimulates the production of natural hyaluronic acid and collagen and is used in surgery. In the case of contour plastics, the voids in the tissue are first filled with gel, and then the preparation continues to work through cell regeneration and the growth of collagen fibers.
Olidia filler contains 365 mg of bioactive substance. This volume includes 150 mg of PLLA, 125 mg of mannitol, and 90 mg of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
Filler injections can be done on various parts of the face, on the back of the hands, in the neck, and in decollete areas.
The indications for contour plastics are:
- medium and deep creases in the corners of the eyes;
- nasolabial folds and marionette wrinkles;
- tear troughs;
- hollow temples;
- lipoatrophy of tissues in the area of the decollete, neck, and hands;
- facial asymmetry;
- drooping corners of the mouth;
- insufficient volume of cheekbones, cheeks, chin;
- indistinct facial oval;
- postoperative and atrophic scars.
The filler based on poly-L-lactic acid is used for rejuvenation in women and men of mature age, and for improvement of facial features in young patients. However, procedures are not allowed before the age of 18.
Procedure protocol
The injections are done after cleansing the skin from cosmetics, dirt, sebum and disinfecting the surface of the epidermis. To reduce painful sensations, it is recommended to use a local application of anesthesia. The gel is injected to the middle and deep level, in the dermis and above the periosteum using a 26G needle or 25G cannula.
The techniques used for injections are:
- linear-retrograde;
- bolus and microbolus;
- fan;
- vector lifting.
After injections, a light facial massage is given for 2-3 minutes. For maximum effect, it is recommended to have 3 treatments at one-month intervals.
Result of application
The effect of contour plastics appears immediately after the procedure. After 1-2 weeks there is a slight reduction in volume. The final result of the introduction of Olidia filler can be seen after 4-8 weeks.
Swelling, bruising, and pain in the injection area subside within 3-6 days. For long-term preservation of the result and to avoid complications, patients should refrain from bathing and visiting the swimming pool for 3 days after the session, and limit physical activity. Sunbathing is prohibited for 2 weeks. If you go outside in sunny weather, it is necessary to apply cream with SPF.
